Just finished watching the Channel 5 documentary about the famous crystal skulls that I remember from the great old days of Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World. Oh yeah, and they were the inspiration for the latest Indiana Jones film as well...
Anyway, cut a long story short, according to programme and recent research and articles and stuff, all the skulls involved were made in the 19th and 20th century, and had nothing to do with the Aztecs or the Maya. Despite the evidence mounting against them, the believers in the skulls mystical and psychic powers still refuse to accept the truth. It was an interesting watch, anyone else catch it? |

I watched it. The skull of doom appeared to look more like a human skull than the others (I thought). I was hoping that it was from the Aztecs or Maya and not part of a deception.
